A Historic Farmhouse, Ready For Your Best Weekend

Northbrook Farm has been a family home since 1852, and it still feels like one: warm, personal, and unhurried. Perennial gardens, a koi pond, and towering old trees set the scene, with a framed white tent for the reception and the whole weekend to enjoy it. The owners live on the property and look after the grounds themselves, so your wedding feels personal from the first tour to the last dance.

Pricing confirmed on request

Northbrook's pricing is simple: one flat venue fee covering the grounds, the framed tent, tables, chairs, the bar, and the catering space. There are no landmark fees for caterers and no gratuities added.

Everything else is yours to arrange — catering, alcohol, photography, flowers, and décor — and it scales with your guest count. A realistic all-in number is roughly $34,000 to $39,000 for a weekend wedding, or $16,000 to $19,000 on a weekday.

One thing that doesn't scale: the venue fee is the same whether you invite thirty guests or a hundred and fifty. 2027 weekends are nearly gone, with just two dates left, so most new bookings are for 2028.

Real Answers

What Couples Ask Most

Short, honest answers filmed on-site so you can see the space as it truly is.
A FAMILY HOME, NOT A WEDDING FACTORY

Not Your Typical Rental Weekend.

Most venues turn couples over fast — dance ends, and the next crew is already unpacking chairs for someone else. Northbrook doesn’t work that way. You get the grounds from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, and nobody’s setting up around you while you get ready.

The farmhouse dates to 1852, and it’s still a family home today — not a rented backdrop. Perennial gardens, a koi pond, and towering old trees surround a framed white tent strung with fairy lights, and the owners run the whole thing themselves, so the grounds are looked after like their own.

There are no landmark fees for your caterer and no gratuities added to your bill. You choose your own vendors, run your own bar, and get a real rain plan built into the tent — not a tarp and a prayer.

Love Letters

What Couples Are Saying

Northbrook Farm Weddings was the most perfect place that we could have picked to get married! Everything about the venue, and the owners ( Chris and Laurie) was absolutely above and beyond!

Northbrook was the PERFECT venue for our wedding this past May. Chris & Laurie were absolutely phenomenal to work with. They let us visit their site numerous times before the day to make sure we had everything we needed,

Weekend Dates Book Up Fast
The season runs from the third week of May to the second or third weekend of October, and Northbrook hosts just one wedding per weekend. Most couples book a year to a year and a half out, and summer dates often go even further ahead. 2027 weekends are nearly gone, with only two dates left, so most new bookings are already looking at 2028.
YOUR WEDDING DAY

A Weekend, Not Just A Day

Northbrook hosts one wedding per weekend — no second couple, no turnover, and no rushed tear-down. You have the grounds from Friday afternoon straight through to Sunday morning.
Set-up starts Friday at noon, so there's time for a rehearsal dinner on site before the wedding day even begins
Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all happen on the grounds — the garden, the woodland, and the framed tent are all a short walk apart
The tent is your rain plan, with an open-span design and no interior poles, so the ceremony simply moves in if the weather turns
You bring your own vendors, with no landmark fees for caterers and no gratuities added — the venue fee is the only cost that's fixed
Tear-down runs Sunday morning, so nobody's cleaning up while the last dance is still happening the night before
Cars can stay parked overnight, and the property is home to the owners themselves, who look after the grounds year-round
A short walk between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception if needed — nothing far, nothing complicated. One wedding a weekend — no second couple, no turnover.

The Northbrook Farm Is A Good Fit If...

You want the whole weekend, not just a wedding day — set-up starts Friday, tear-down waits until Sunday morning
You want a historic farmhouse and gardens as your backdrop, not a rented barn
You want to choose your own caterer, florist, and DJ — there are no restrictions and no landmark fees
You want a venue that hosts one wedding per weekend — no second couple, no turnover on your day
You want a real rain plan built into an open-span tent, not a tarp and a prayer
You want your own bar without buying a package — BYO with a permit, or per head through your caterer

This Venue May Not Be The Right Fit If...

You want on-site lodging for the bridal party — there's no house rental, so guests use nearby hotels or a B&B
You're planning a late-autumn or winter wedding — the season ends the second weekend of October
You need a coordinator included — this is venue rental only, and you run the day yourself
You want the party going past midnight — music cuts off at 12, same as most Friday and Saturday venues
You need a date on short notice — 2027 weekends are pretty much booked up, with bookings now into 2028
You want to host more than 150 guests — that's the property's hard capacity

THE EXPERIENCE

What Makes This Venue Special

Close view of the 1852 farmhouse's dormer windows and flower-lined entrance at Northbrook Farm near Orillia, Ontario

A House Built To Last

Northbrook's farmhouse dates to 1852, built from wide boards stacked and offset half an inch at a time, with stucco outside and plaster in. Few houses built this way survive, and it's been continually inhabited by the same family ever since.
Koi pond with lily pads and a small red bridge, surrounded by perennial gardens at Northbrook Farm near Orillia, Ontario

Gardens & A Koi Pond

Perennial gardens full of roses, lilies, and seasonal blooms surround a quiet koi pond, framed by mature trees that turn color with the season. It's the kind of backdrop that does the work for your photographer.
Gravel garden path lined with perennial flowers, leading past a lit double lamppost at Northbrook Farm near Orillia, Ontario

Fairy Lights After Dark

As the sun goes down, string lights wind through the tent and the arbours around the grounds. It's romantic without trying too hard — just the property, lit up for the night.
Circle of red Adirondack chairs around a stone fire pit on a gravel patio at Northbrook Farm near Orillia, Ontario

End The Night By The Fire

Once the dance floor empties out, the campfire stays lit. It's a small thing, but it's the difference between a wedding that ends and one that winds down.
