A Working Farm, Ready For Your Best Day

Glen Oro Farm has been part of Oro-Medonte’s countryside for years — and its open fields bring that same unpretentious, welcoming energy to your wedding day. A spacious glass-walled pavilion, grazing paddocks, and rolling farmland set the scene, whether you’re planning a 180-guest celebration or something smaller and more intimate. No manufactured backdrop required. Just a working farm that knows how to host a celebration, on the land it’s always called home.

What to Expect Investment-Wise

Most Popular

Farm Elopement

2–8 guests · Officiant, florals, and photography included
Starting From $8,500

Grand Wedding

Up to 180 guests · Venue only — catering and bar are yours
Venue From $18,000

Micro-Wedding

Up to 30 guests · Nearly everything handled for you
Starting From $13,500

Elopement and Micro-Wedding pricing is close to all-in — your officiant, florals, two hours of photography, the crockery, the tablescapes. The pieces that usually mean five separate vendors and five separate invoices.

Grand Weddings work differently. The $18,000 is the venue. Catering and bar are yours to arrange, and they scale with your guest count. Booking out the whole property runs closer to $30,000, and a realistic all-in number for a full weekend buyout with bar is $40,000 to $45,000.

One thing that doesn't scale: the venue cost is the same whether you bring a hundred guests or a hundred and eighty. Same for the forest ceremony — twenty people or a hundred and seventy, the price is identical. And anything already on the property that you want to use — table runners, candles, votives — is yours. No line items you didn't see coming.

Full package details are sent by the Glen Oro team once you inquire.

What Couples Ask Most

Short, honest answers filmed on-site so you can see the space as it truly is.
VENUE STYLE & ATMOSPHERE

Not Your Typical Barn Venue.

The word “farm wedding” probably brings a specific picture to mind — maybe a rustic barn, string lights, and some hay bales for decoration. This isn’t that.

Glen Oro is a 200-acre working equestrian farm, family-run since 1967, with horses grazing in the paddocks right beside your reception. Your ceremony happens under three ancient oak trees with views across the valley, your reception is in a glass-walled pavilion with a full dining setup, and if you want to end the night in a cabin or a private glamping dome instead of a hotel room an hour away, you can.

Come for the wedding. Stay because you’ll wonder why more couples don’t get married on farms like this.

What Couples Are Saying

My fiancé and I stayed here for a friends wedding July 2026. It was absolutely amazing. We stayed in the galaxy dome which was very clean, and well equipped! They thought of everything. The staff are wonderful - very attentive and helpful!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and so much of that is thanks to this incredible venue and team. The venue itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and created the most magical backdrop for our ceremony and photos.

I cannot even gather the words to express how wonderful this establishment is! Truly. I spent 10 months working with Glen Oro planning our wedding and they were so passionate, professional and caring throughout the entire process.

  • AVAILABILITY NOTICE
Farm Weddings Book Up Early
The season runs mid-May to the last weekend of October, and Glen Oro only hosts one wedding per day. Grand Wedding dates on Fridays and Saturdays go first — if you're looking at September, give yourself more than a year. Most other Grand dates want about a year. Micro-Weddings and Farm Elopements are far more flexible: three months is usually enough, and weekdays and shoulder-season dates stay open longest.
YOUR WEDDING DAY

A Day That's Built Around You

Glen Oro hosts one wedding at a time — there's no second event sharing the grounds, no other couple's timeline to work around. Whether you choose the Grand Wedding, a Micro-Wedding, or a Farm Elopement, the whole property is set up around your day.
Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are about 75 metres apart — most guests just walk it
Horses graze in the paddocks right beside your ceremony and reception
Guests can stay overnight in on-site glamping domes or cabins instead of driving home
Multiple ceremony locations to choose from — paddock, forest, or hilltop, depending on your vision
A site visit is included so you can walk the property and plan your day in person
A wagon, golf carts, and gators run guests between spaces — roughly twenty minutes to move a hundred people
Music runs until midnight, and your car can stay parked until 10am
A short shuttle between the ceremony site and reception if needed — nothing far, nothing complicated. One wedding a day — no second couple, no turnover

The Glen Oro Farm Is A Good Fit If...

You're drawn to a forest ceremony or the little house overlooking the ridge for something small and quiet
You want a big, editorial wedding with room to go all out, up to 180 guests
You love the idea of paddocks, barns, and open fields as your backdrop
You want a venue that hosts one wedding a day — no second event, no turnover, no other couple's timeline
You want a relaxed, unhurried day that unfolds at farm pace
You want your guests to stay overnight without leaving the property — glamping domes and cabins let your crew crash right on site.
You want a real rain plan, not a tent-and-pray — the reception space splits and resets to host your ceremony indoors at no extra cost.

This Venue May Not Be The Right Fit If...

You want a downtown or hotel-ballroom setting — this is countryside, through and through
You need everything under one roof — much of this venue's magic happens outdoors
You're picturing a sleek, modern aesthetic — this is rustic farm charm, not minimalist design
You've got your heart set on the forest ceremony for guests with mobility needs — the paddock and tent are easy to reach, but the forest is gravel, grass, and a short walk
You need a Grand Wedding date within the next few months — Friday and Saturday dates often book more than a year out
You want the party going past midnight — last call is at 12

THE EXPERIENCE

What Makes This Venue Special

Horse grazing in front of rustic barn at Glen Oro Farm wedding venue in Ontario

Horses & Trail Rides

This is a working horse farm — so those horses grazing near your ceremony aren't just scenery. Ask about a trail ride for you or your guests on the wedding day itself; not many venues let you swap the dance floor for a saddle, even for twenty minutes.

Stay the Weekend

Every wedding package includes a night in an Explorer's Tent for the two of you — canvas walls, a cedar shower, your own fire pit, sited between cocktail hour and the reception so you can duck out for ten minutes before your grand entrance. Most couples upgrade to a Stargazer or Galaxy Gazer dome instead. Groomsmen tend to get ready there starting at noon, while the bridal party gets ready at the tack house.

Three Ways to Stay

Fourteen units across three types mean a hotel stay never has to be part of the plan. Explorer's Tents (five) feel like glamping done properly — king bed, ensuite, your own fire pit. Stargazer Domes (five) add a loft and a skylight over the bed. And the four Galaxy Gazer Domes, the largest, sleep up to four with two king beds, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom.

Every linen is white, every towel is white, the place is cleaned to hotel standard — but you can still hear the forest outside.

From Small to Sweeping

Two people under the trees, if that's the wedding. A hundred and eighty under the big tent. Glen Oro doesn't make you choose between intimate and epic — the forest handles one, the tent handles the other, and both feel like exactly the right size.

Pick Your Backdrop

Say your vows under the oaks in the paddock, tucked into the forest, or up on the ridge by the little house. Three settings, one property, and no reason to settle for just one.
