Most Wedding Directories Treat You Like a Lead, Not a Person

You know the drill. Twenty tabs open at midnight. Every directory showing the same 200 venues with different stock photos and the same vague "starting at" pricing that somehow also says "contact for quote." A contact form that promises a reply in 24 hours, which really means a sales team forwarding your email into a queue nobody checks.
Almost nobody's telling you what the venue actually looks like in October. Nobody's answering whether the ceremony and reception share the same space. Nobody's being honest about the fact that "intimate" means fifty people maximum, and "all-inclusive" means their caterer at $95 a head.
We thought couples deserved better. So we built it.

How a wedding photography idea became a better way to find a venue.

I set out to build a wedding photography company. Then the venue pages showed me what couples actually wanted.

It started with a photography idea.

The plan was a wedding photography company, with outside photographers doing the shooting.

Then the venue pages got the attention.

I launched the site and visitors kept landing on my early venue pages. Far fewer cared about the photography, so I pivoted.

Barrie Curling Club. One yes was enough to prove the idea had legs.
